£24.50
A colour-correcting foundation primer which reduces redness, calms skin and enhances your natural glow for an even-toned, dewy complexion.

Our Anti-Redness Foundation Primer is perfect for anyone looking to disguise high-colour – red, angry-looking or flushed cheeks or a blotchy neck and chest. It’s ideal for those with high-colour due to rosacea, adult acne or the menopause.

This clever, green-toned primer neutralises any redness, creating the perfect canvas before you apply foundation. There’s no need for heavy layers of foundation or concealer to disguise redness , this clever lotion does most of the hard work  for you!

The liquid formula is incredibly lightweight and sheer, so it won’t weigh the skin down. Enriched with Hyaluronic Acid and Calendula to protect and nourish skin throughout the day, and have an immediate cooling sensation on application. You can skip prepping skin with too much moisturiser - if you’re having hot flushes or perspiring heavily, too much moisturiser can make your makeup slide off.

Subtle levels of light-reflecting Mica enhance the skin’s glow and soften the appearance fine lines. Skin will look dewy and radiant, never sweaty.

The result: Skin looks less red. Skin feels cool and hydrated. Coverage looks natural and never cakey. You look radiant.

Daniel Sandler created his Anti-Redness Foundation Primer as he found other primers on the market left skin looking dry, drab, unnatural and mask-like. Daniel says, “there’s no reason why a complexion can’t look as natural as possible when trying to disguise high-colour, acne or rosacea. Skin needs to feel comfortable and not tight, so the ingredients in my Anti-Redness Foundation Primer are wonderfully light and leave the sheerest finish, which is important when you’re layering foundation on top. People have busy lives and don’t want to keep touching up makeup as it can end up looking heavy or cakey. I really hope that this primer will help you feel more confident and happier with how you look.”

Must be applied under liquid or cream foundation/base. Gently dispense one small pump’s worth of product onto the back of your hand and then apply to your face using fingertips, blending well until evenly distributed. Apply more, if necessary, to areas that tend to look angry/hotter/redder throughout the day, not forgetting to blend beyond the jawline onto your neck and chest if those areas develop high colour or blotches too. Finally, apply your makeup as normal. Easily removed with makeup cleanser.

Fabulous

I get very flushed cheeks (especially when I've had a glass of wine!), and have had to pile on the concealer in the past. I tried this for the first time at my 40th birthday party, and it was absolutely fabulous. Even when I felt my face was very warm, and normally would have been bright red, my skin looked fine! You only need a tiny bit, and it immediately takes down the colour, and then with foundation (or even tinted moisturiser) on top it looks great.

Thank you so much Amy! Happy Birthday!

Excellent stuff

This has been a life saver. I suffer from rosacea at times. Initially my skin can be red, dry, flaky and irritated. Now when it's flaky and irritated there isn't much you can do until it settles. But once the dryness has gone and only the redness is left this stuff comes into its own. Excellent round my nose, mouth and chin. The bottle looked really small when I first opened it but you need a tiny amount and it'll last for ages. Will be buying it again.

A little disappointed

I'm a huge fan of the watercolour blushes, which I genuinely recommend to all my friends. As a rosacea suffer since childhood I jumped at the chance to try this. But I think if you have any texture to your skin, as I do, you might struggle to get it to sink into the skin, I found gentle patting with fingertips works the best. I also use a silicone based foundation (It Cosmetics CC Cream & Armani Luminous Silk) and sunscreen ( Helio), which means I experience pilling everytime I use the primer, no matter how much time I leave between layering products or vary the amount of product. I'll continue to try different combinations of sunscreen and foundation to see if it works better with anything else. In general I think Daniel Sandler products are so brilliant, keep up the good work!
